On Wednesday night, HBO hosted a special event to celebrate the third season launch of the mythological series “Games of Thrones“ on Sunday.
The exhibition of costumes, props and memorabilia from the popular HBO show is co-hosted with Time Warner Cable.
The actors from the show who walked the red carpet and attended the party looked a lot different with modern clothing replacing the fur and corsets they sport on the show.
A highlight of the event was the chance to get photographed in the famous throne made from a thousand spears. Also fun was testing your skill with a bow and arrow in a simulated video game.
For the hungry crowds of Game of Thrones fans, there were mugs of beer and gigantic turkey legs, as well as lamb chops nestled against a skinned goat’s head. Very appetizing!
The traveling exhibition, which is now at 5 West 57th Street, is heading next to Europe and other exotic locales.
